Palmer Gardens

It’s daisy and foxglove season now in Thurston County. Driving out Kamilche way on Thursday to the Palmer homestead, there was a good show of both. Acres of wild daisies and, by the forests, banks of pink foxgloves. Our paint out group at the home of the Palmers, a property abundant in the Puget Sound’s natural beauty,

From flowers to farm buildings to horses and views of the Puget Sound, there was no scarcity of things to paint!

I was in a floral mood and the foxgloves called to me!

Not wanting to get up and move, I turned to this sole peony, that charmed me into mistaking it was cotton candy!

Lynne Palmer joined us, second from the right, as we gathered to show our work, discuss technique and other artist “stuff”.
