A Winter Solstice Prayer

simplicity

(from my December 2009 journals)  Sumi ink, Interference acrylics, pen on w/c paper, 10 X 11″

On this longest night of the year I offer a simple reminder, captured in my journal book four winters ago, and the perfect antidote to holiday madness.

As the seasonal shrinking (of light) occurs,

remember this tiny wizard with his VAST DOMINION.

Simplicity and a loving heart thrive in December.

Remember to shrink.
