Many of the new lessons I concoct for the Muse Groups come from ideas I get in the group when someone goes off on a tangent from the lesson I’ve just presented. I teach a different mixed media painting technique in each Muse Group or workshop, and then the students take me at my word and use that technique in their own, sometimes refined, sometimes very refined, yet always totally original and artfully expressive way. No wonder we get so excited, getting to share each other’s discoveries.
This slide show includes a variety of lessons including crinkled Masa paper texture, adding words artfully to the page, painting with hands, and masking and dripping inks. It’s all student work. Enjoy watching and leave a comment here if you’d like to join us!
