Chicken skins. . .

acrylic and acrylic “skins” on gesso coated w/c paper, 12″ X 12″

Oh, sorry if that title conjured up an unwelcome thought with all you chicken lovers. . .I mean acrylic skins on chicken paintings. . .something I learned at the workshop last week.  If you use your plastic coated table top as a palette for your acrylic paints, you can peal the paint skins off the next day and use them for collage.  It works on 3 or 4 mil plastic and probably on other non-stick surfaces like some of those newer acrylic palettes I’ve seen. . . a good way to combat the “lost in the final details” trap when you’re trying to paint looser.
