“See the Forest for the Trees II”, acrylic on wood panel, 20 X 16″
Just in time for ARTrails Open Studios I finished the companion piece. If I knew how, I would place them here side by side, which is how I will hang them. But, well, here’s the first one (or maybe the second?):
And the question hangs there – Do either one of these figures see the forest for the trees? Or are they even separate from the trees they see? I always hate to impose my own stories on images like this that I wish for others to enjoy. I never paint in order to tell a story, but the story comes out on its own as the painting resolves itself. . .eventually. Some of them never do resolve and you can bet those won’t see the light of day at Open Studios!
