Blustery

crinkled Masa paper with collage mounted on w/c paper, 10 X 11″

in the blustery sky
all airborn things amass and flutter
drawn by some magnetic force
better described by a physicist

we as artists merely jump into the fray
ride the currents
pick up a board
jump into the surf
riding whatever tide carries us

we strive to stay loose
stay afloat and aloft
we worship the ceaseless flow
in the river of creation

our only fear is stasis
and so we must
keep moving

Great name for this piece – it really captures the ‘feel’ of the artwork! =D

In conversations with the Muse I mix paint with vision, collage with story, word with meditation and prayer. And out of the mixture comes a release of energy and healing and a lightening of the load of everyday living. You'll find most of it here, where I've been showing up for the past few years, along with collectible paintings, travel sketchbooks, figure studies and an invitation to join me in art play and discovery!
