It’s been a while since I’ve been on a trip.  I leave tomorrow for 9 days back east in the Washington, D.C. area where I’ll be visiting old friends, going to museums and sketching.  Nine days away from family, chickens, garden and familiar routines, including blogging!  Reminds me of pulling a particularly large weed out by the roots.  It doesn’t want to let go, but finally, it must surrender.  And so tomorrow quite early I leave on an adventure, and when I return I hope you’ll be back to see sketches and maybe even a juicy story or two if I’m lucky!
